To address urban traffic and disaster prevention challenges caused by road bottlenecks and unbuilt urban planning roads, the Taoyuan City Government launched the “Bottleneck Resolution Plan.” This initiative allows not only for government-led policy planning but also for residents to propose road improvement needs, which are then evaluated and implemented accordingly.
As of October 2025, 218 road widening and improvement projects have been completed. These efforts reduce detours, save travel time, shorten distances, and contribute to energy conservation and carbon reduction. Additionally, the plan enhances firefighting and emergency response capabilities, safeguarding residents’ lives and property.
