Dedicated Account Opened to Contribute ResourcesChildren and adolescents' future education and development accounts are set up to, in combination with resources contributed by the private sector, encourage families to save NT$ 500, NT$ 1,000 or NT$ 1,250 per month (up to NT$ 15,000 per person per year). The Government will make a 1:1 disbursement as the future education and employment development funds before the age of 18 for children from the economically challenged families.Great Account Opening OffersTaoyuan City pioneers enhanced subsidies by actively leveraging private resources. We offer incentives for new deposit accounts, stable deposit rewards, reinstatement deposit rewards, and self-deposit subsidies. These measures are collaboratively administered by social workers and local borough offices to provide household support, thereby increasing the willingness to participate continuously and maintain stable deposits. As of May 2024, the account opening application rate has reached 73%, with a deposit submission rate of 78.59%.

Diverse Services at Assistive Technology Resources CenterTo reduce the financial burden of persons with disabilities, and to assist them in the use of assistive devices to overcome physical dysfunction and promote self-care ability, Taoyuan established the Assistive Technology Resources Centers in the South and North districts to for turn-key consultation window and diverse services, including assistive device consultation, evaluation, use training, second-hand assistive device recycling and rework, maintenance, assistive device borrowing and matching, outreach base and circuit services, etc., with services to the center, designated locations and home available. From January to May 2024, 17,520 service assistive devices consultations, 6,819 evaluations (including training), 9,487 subsidy application assistance, 1,977 second-hand assistive device recycling, 178 assistive equipment repairs, and 4,279 assistive device borrowing and matching were conducted.

Monthly Grant for Mid- and Low-Income ElderliesThe City has issued living allowances for the middle- and low-income elderlies, with an amount from NT$ 4,164 to 8,329 subsidized per month depending on an elderly’s economic situation. In 2024, the subsidy totaled at NT$ 443 million, benefitting more than 58,565 people.Gift Money for Senior Citizens at Three Major HolidaysStarting from 2023, in order to recognize the dedication of all elders, Taoyuan City will increase the senior citizens’ gift money for three major traditional festivals (Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival) from NT$2,000 to NT$2,500 per festival, and remove the wealth-exclusion clause. In addition, the Double Ninth Festival senior citizens' gift money will also be adjusted from NT$2,000 to NT$2,500, while those aged 99 and above will continue to receive NT$10,000.Other Grants and ServicesMeal delivery service for the disadvantaged and disabled elderly at home is available. Also, financial supports such as elderly NHI premium subsidies, dental medicine subsidies, and long-term care, health promotion programs, ageless learning and Longevity Academy, Employment Promotion Program, etc. are offered.
