Moreover, the promotion of a gender ratio of men to women by 2:1 in the selection and appointment of neighborhood heads is being encouraged among village chiefs, along with the establishment of a system to enhance women's participation in decision-making."Encouraging Female Participation in the Engagement of Union AffairsWith respect to trade unions, the City promotes the implementation of trade union management growth camp implementation plans- trade union management gender equality training camp to empower trainees with gender equality awareness, and encourage women to participate in trade union affairs and operations by actual participation in decision-making, thereby strengthening training and improving the leadership capacity of female trade union management and gradually reducing the gender gap within. The percentage of female members amongst trade union management is about 32.90% as of December 2023.

Hosting of Diverse Gender Equality Advocacy EventsDomestic violence and sexual assault, sexual harassment and sexual exploitation and other prevention and advocacy events are held through multiple advocacy methods. Taoyuan “You-Tou-Lu (Go To Work)” Vocational Training SiteThrough the Taoyuan "You-Tou-Lu (Go To Work)" Vocational Training Site in combination with local training resources, vocational training education is offered to provide training opportunities for specific demographics, training opportunities for new immigrants and indigenous women, meanwhile providing new immigrant trainees to apply for temporary childcare grants during vocational training.Taoyuan Women’s Empowerment Center Taoyuan Women’s Empowerment Center provides support and training for women who are unable to work full-time due to their family responsibilities. Through guidance and instruction in culinary skills, the center aims to help women balance their family responsibilities while increasing their income. The center also employs professional social workers to provide individualized services based on the needs of women, including social welfare consultation, resources, skills training, and employment services, thus providing both “social welfare” and “economic” services.

To echo the UN’s valuing, investment and empowerment of girls, allowing the deserved human rights and care for girls, Taiwan has announced October 11th each year as the “Taiwan Day of the Girl”.Hosting Diverse Events to Publicize Girls EqualityTaoyuan City hold series of events in forms with greater diversity and closer to the girls, calling attention to topics related to girls' equality from all walks of life. Reviews on Public Spaces in Taoyuan CityIn order to create a friendly environment of gender equality and improve the walking safety of citizens in the public environment, Taoyuan City Government has set out to review the public spaces within the City, including roads, sidewalks, public toilets, breastfeeding spaces, public transportation, etc., of their conformity to the universal design concept for diversity and inclusion.Building a Convenient and Friendly Public EnvironmentThe City implements various improvement plans, including adding parking spaces reserved for pregnant women and drivers with children under 6 years old, promoting arcade pavement leveling, building pedestrian-friendly environments, public toilets, gender-friendly, and creating safe parking areas, etc., to build convenience and space-friendly public environment.
