In order to create a friendly environment of gender equality and improve the walking safety of citizens in the public environment, Taoyuan City Government has set out to review the public spaces within the City, including roads, sidewalks, public toilets, breastfeeding spaces, public transportation, etc., of their conformity to the universal design concept for diversity and inclusion.

The City implements various improvement plans, including adding parking spaces reserved for pregnant women and drivers with children under 6 years old, promoting arcade pavement leveling, building pedestrian-friendly environments, public toilets, gender-friendly, and creating safe parking areas, etc., to build convenience and space-friendly public environment.
