Regulating the Member Gender Ratio of City Government Task Forces

With the improvement of women's education and entry into the labor market, many outstanding women in the public fields can be seen. In order to improve women's participation in public decision-making and empower women, the gender ratio of any member of the City Government task forces shall not be less than 1/3.

Advocacy on Gender Ratio in Neighborhood Heads Appointment

In addition, in recent years, the number of women participating in grass-roots services has been increasing. In order to deepen the concept of gender equality in the selection and appointment of neighborhood heads, plans such as the “Gender Equality Implementation Plan for Selecting and Appointment of Neighborhood Heads” and “333 Rise of Female Neighborhood Heads” are promoted, encouraging women involvement in public affairs. Moreover, the promotion of a gender ratio of men to women by 2:1 in the selection and appointment of neighborhood heads is being encouraged among village chiefs, along with the establishment of a system to enhance women's participation in decision-making."

Encouraging Female Participation in the Engagement of Union Affairs

With respect to trade unions, the City promotes the implementation of trade union management growth camp implementation plans- trade union management gender equality training camp to empower trainees with gender equality awareness, and encourage women to participate in trade union affairs and operations by actual participation in decision-making, thereby strengthening training and improving the leadership capacity of female trade union management and gradually reducing the gender gap within. The percentage of female members amongst trade union management is about 32.90% as of December 2023.
