Leisure Farm Area
Leisure agriculture is a new highlight for traditional agriculture to enhance its added value. Taoyuan City has 10 leisure farm areas that have been demarcated, and 8 leisure farm areas are still under planning. Also, Taoyuan City Government assists the characteristics of each leisure farm area, and cooperates with relevant guidance as a solid foundation for the development of leisure agriculture:
- Guidance on “Farming Experience”
By introducing existing agricultural production into farming experience, integrating primary, secondary and tertiary industries, youths are expected to return to their hometowns to engage in farm business, expanding service projects and increasing revenue. - Development of “Derivatives”
Different processing methods are engaged to increase the added value of primary agricultural products and prolong their shelf lives. In addition, the quality of products can be enhanced by improving the packaging. The diversified utilization of agricultural products makes the output value soar. - Promoting “Farm Tour Packages”
The farms and recreation areas are connected in series. The farms provide services, the experience of agricultural tourism is connected in series, and the normal operation of sightseeing routes is introduced, allowing the areas to gradually moving towards a mature sustainable development. - Contributing “Marketing and Promotion”
By operating the leisure farm fan page and website platform, we will strengthen the special farming experience of promotion leisure farm management, and combine with the flower festival activities to activate the local characteristics.
