By vertical expansion of industrial parks and assistance in the release of idle land, the existing land for industries can be revitalized.
Industrial Areas under Development
- Shalun Industrial Park
In response to the national energy policy, the Shalun Industrial Park plans to set up a solar power generation system with a smart energy storage solution. It plans to build a sound infrastructure that is not affected by external influences, such as a dedicated sewage treatment plant, and a solar power generation and smart park management system and innovative equipment are set up to create an industry environment that is ecologically inclusive and sustainable. By combining the surrounding industrial clusters such as Dayuan Industrial Area, Guanyin Industrial Area, Taoyuan Technology and Industry Park, etc., it improves the function of supply chain resource integration and drives regional logistics industry clusters effect. The development of Shalun Industrial Park was completed in April 2022,after the development is completed, it will provide 17.01 hectares of industrial land, introduce about 1,000 employment opportunities and create a production value of NT$ 1 Billion. Many companies are moving in and building up the factories now. - Taoyuan Technology and Industry Park Phase 2
Introduce the green building indicators of environmental protection, green energy and energy saving, provide comprehensive public facilities, create an environmentally friendly, ecologically inclusive and sustainable comprehensive industrial area, and promote an innovative green economy that meets the green building indicators Goal. April 1, 2021 All the land has been acquired, and the development is expected to be completed in December 2024. The completion of the development will provide 34.6 hectares of industrial land and create 8,000 job opportunities. - Industrial Park Land Use Regulations
When Shalun Industrial Park and Taoyuan Technology and Industry Park Phase 2 dispose of industrial land, in order to avoid the vacancy of industrial lands, the model of lease-purchase is adopted. After the license is completed and the use is completed, the land can be transferred. In addition, in order to prevent land use speculation, Shalun Industrial Park stipulated that the winning bidder shall not transfer the land within a certain period of time after purchasing the land, otherwise it will be bought back by the Taoyuan City Government at the original price; Taoyuan Science and Technology Industrial Park Phase II stipulates that if the bidder fails to obtain a factory use permit within three years after purchasing it, the Taoyuan City Government will take back the land and confiscate the deposit. It is hoped that through the industrial area development and introduction of industrial zones into areas with relatively backward economic development in the past to increase local employment opportunities.
Drive factories to Carbon Reduction
In terms of factory management, through the factory greening coaching group and the low-carbon technology industry subsidy and reward plan, the factory was greened, and manufacturers was subsidized to carry out energy-saving improvement projects. The improvement results in 2023 are a reduction of 2,520 metric tons of CO2e in annual carbon emissions, 4.923 million kWh of electricity. In addition, through the Industrial Boiler Improvement Subsidy Program, 13 industrial boilers were replaced in 2023, resulting in a reduction of approximately 13,145 metric tons of CO2e in annual carbon emissions, and a reduction of 45.7 metric tons of particulate matter, 211.8 metric tons of sulfur oxides, and 101.2 metric tons of nitrogen oxides in annual air pollution.
