Promoting Diverse Social Housing
Expediting Social Housing Constructions and Supplies The City adopts multiple methods such as urban plan acquisition, urban renewal and repatriation, cooperative establishment of farmland and water conservancy departments, state-owned land lease, appropriation, and central construction, with promotions according to the needs of each district and urban development. By the end of December 2023, 61 sites with a total of 15,000 housing social households (including 40 sites planned by Taoyuan City and 21 by the central government), while 8,000 households in 31 sites are being promoted. Meanwhile, in combination with diverse public service facilities, the City intends to build a friendly community. In December 2023, bringing the cumulative total of completed units to 4,211 in 12 sites,, enabling stable growth in number of social housing reserves and continued and stable construction and supply.
Supported wit Diverse Rental Subsidy Resources
Combined with the subleasing plan and the housing subsidy plan to encourage the release of private housing resources, by the end December 2023, the number of eligible households for rent subsidy totaled at 69,330, and a total of 10,022 households were developed through subleasing (Phases 1, 2,3 and 4), totaling at 79,352 households, providing citizens with a variety of rental options and reducing the burden of renting.
