Electric Car and Scooter
Taoyuan City actively promotes low-pollution vehicles to incentivize the public to replace gasoline-powered vehicle with electric ones through subsidy programs. Taoyuan City hopes that citizens will take action to support low-pollution vehicles, thus improving air quality and providing a better living environment.
Public Bicycles
In order to increase public interest in purchasing electric scooters, the Environmental Protection Bureau is actively creating a friendly environment for electric scooter usage. As of the end of December 2023, there are 19,000 two-stroke scooters and 199,000 Phase-1 to Phase-4 locomotives in Taoyuan City. Additionally, the city has 94,560 electric scooters, accounting for 6.98% of the total, Ranked second among the six municipalities.
